Partnership is a form of business in which two or more individuals jointly own a business. Franchise is a business based upon a use of the brand names, promotional logos and trading methods of an existinf successful business. The franchisee buys the license to operate this business from the franchisor. The main difference between them is that, the management of the outlets is the responsibility of the franchisee. In partnership, the responsibility are shared and sometimes can be held responsible to a specific person.
What's more, the profit are shared in partnerships, but not in franchise business, the franchisee pays the rent/license fee for using the brand and if it plunges it's profit, it will not share its profits from the franchiser. Another example is that the franchisee pays for the advertising, while the franchiser will not.
