Solution :

let x be the no. of tuba players

Since we are given that The number of saxophone players is one less than twice the number of tuba players.

Since there are 9 saxophones

So, A.T.Q

9 = 2 x-1

⇒9+1=2x

⇒10=2x


(10)/(2) =x


5=x

Hence number of tuba players are 5
