If a bromine atom were to attract an electron from lithium, the lithium atom would become ______________ charged.

Lithium atom would become positively charged. Loss of electron will result in more protons than electrons which gives positive charge.

Li - 1 e = Li+

Li atomic number is 3

Electronic configuration : 1s2 2s1

It can easily give away the outer most electron to bromine atom and attain the nearest noble gas configuration i.e. helium which is stable configuration.
