Why is the main reason to move the person in need of help to a dry area when using an AED? Water might ground the AED. Water can interfere with the AED’s reading. Electricity can travel through water. Electricity will not flow through a wet body.

Answer: Electricity can travel through water.

Step-by-step explanation:

AED can be defined as the automated external defibrillator. It analyzes the rhythm's of the heart and gives shock to the victim of cardiac arrest. It re-establishes the effective heart rhythm.

It is safe to use AED in all weather conditions but the patient should be first moved in a dry area so that to avoid electricity.

This is because the water is a good conductor of electricity. Else the person providing AED and the victim both can get shock.
