I'll do problem 24 to get you started

-3a + 5 < -7

-3a + 5-5 < -7-5 ..... subtract 5 from both sides

-3a < -12

-3a/(-3) > -12/(-3) ... see note below

a > 4 is the answer

To graph this, we plot an open circle at 4 on the number line. Shade to the right of the open circle. The open circle tells the reader "do not include this value as part of the solution set".

note: in that step I divide both sides by -3 to fully isolate 'a'. Dividing both sides by a negative number will flip the inequality sign.
