  • National boundaries impede cultural interaction and economic exchange because they make it more difficult for people to interact with those of other countries. Therefore, products are traded less, people travel less and there is less communication when a boundary is in place.
  • The supranational entity is the European Union.
  • The European Union tries to reduce this division by introducing free mobility among the member states of the union.
  • It is clear that this map has changed over time when we look at the key. Some countries are members, while other are not. It is likely that this will continue to change in the future.

A.National bounderies can slow the flow of people, goods and knowledge fromone country to another by imposing rules on what and who enters a certain country.

B.

  • The supranational entity is the European Union.
  • The EU has a single monetary system, the Euro, citizens and goods can travel freely across borders and there are certain guidelines regarding human rights a country has to follow, for instance, countries that belong tothe EU cannot exercise the death penalty.

C. The most blatant example is the departure of the Great Britain from the EU on March 29, 2019, also Romania is part of the EU now, Turkey is still in process of becoming a member.
