Can someone please help????? Please explain . How long is the hypotenuse of an isosceles right triangle whose area is 4?

Answer:

4 units long.

Explanation:

The 2 legs of an isosceles right angles triangle are equal .

So the area = 1/2 * x^2 where x = length of a leg.

1/2x^2 = 4

x^2 = 8

x = √8

So the length of the hypotenuse is found using the Pythagoras theorem:-

h^2 = (√8)^2 + (√8)^2

h^2 = 16

h = 4 (answer).
