0 = - 8t^2 + 32t

factor out a -8t

0 = -8t( t-4)

Using the zero product property

-8t = 0 and t-4=0

t = 0 and t=4

t=0 is when it is dropped and t=4 is when it lands

The maximum height is halfway in between

(0+4) /2
