The removal of unreasonable restrictions on trade, entrepreneurship and commerce can generate employment opportunities and tax revenues that would be absent from a fully commanded economy.

A necessary balance has to be found in order that a healthy measure of regulations protect labor and social rights as well as the environment while at the same time allowing businesses to be able to produce and trade in a propitious regulatory environment. Otherwise, only the most predatory industries will prevail, the benefits will only profit a wealthy minority and the damages will be a burden for the vast majority of citizens.
