In order to calcualt ethe cost of a 13 pound turkey knowing that the cost of turkey is proportional and we know that a 12 pound turkey costs $27, we can just make a rule of three to calculate the 13 pound turkey, like this:


(12)/(27)=(13)/(x)

Now we clear the x on the function to be able to calculate the cost:


x=((27)(13))/(12)


x=29.25

With this we know that the cost of a 13 pound turkey would be $29.25
