Solution:

A binomial means an expression containing single variable having two terms.For example,2 x²+ 5 x

A Trinomial means an expression containing single variable having three terms.For example, 3x³+4 x + 2

So , in the question given , the trinomial is : a x²+ b x+ c-------(1)

And the binomial is : p x²+ q x

If we put c=0 in the trinomial represented in equation (1), it get converted into binomial.and we can factorize p x²+ q x in the same way as a x²+ b x+ c.

So, option (C) c=0, is true option among four options provided.

Answer:

Option C. c=0

Explanation:

ax^2+bx+c

px^2+qx=px^2+qx+0

if we compare the expressions:

a=p

b=q

c=0

Answer: Option C. c=0
