The Mycenaeans got their gold from Egypt.

Metals were one important part of Mycenaeans culture, but gold was extremelly valuable and it was used in tombs or inner coffins, the Mycenaeans are even famous for their dead being buried with golden mask and others gold tools, as the "mask of Agamemnon" that was found together with gold statuettes, vases and sword handles.

Mycenaean civilization was characterized by, for example, intricate gold jewelry. Gold came from trading with other Aegean civilizations.

Primarily, gold was a foreign good, so Mycenaeans brought it, apparently, from the coast of southern Anatolia, together with copper and tin. This great gold trading system was discovered when foreign goods (for example: gold, glass, ivory and copper) were found in different Mycenaean settlements.
