Peace of Paris. In addition to the American colonists, other nations including France, Spain and the Netherlands fought against the British during the American Revolution. Alongside the Treaty of Paris, Great Britain signed separate peace treaties with each these nations in September1783.

A Treaty of Paris could refer to any number of more than 25 treaties which have been negotiated and signed in Paris, France. There were two important Peace treaties, signed in Paris, that had a significant effect on the history of America during the 18th century (1700's):


The Peace Treaty of Paris 1763 ended the French Indian War (aka the Seven Years War)
