How do I solve y=2x, 5x-y=9 by substitution?

the first EQ is already answered so you plug 2x where the y is in the second equation, it it would then look like 5x - 2x = 9 and then you add like terms, it it would then look like 7x = 9. then you divide 7x on both sides, the 7x will cancel out so your answer would then be x = 9/7. hope that helped :)
