To find the answer, take out factors of 96 and simplify, like this:

96
Two factors that work nicely are 6 and 16

Now, you simplify from here.

The square root of 16 is 4
The square root of 6 is not a nice number, because 6 is not a perfect square.

So, you would simply leave it as:

4 √(6)
The 4 is from when you simplified the square root of 16 before. You put that number on the outside.

Answer:

=4sqrt(6)

≈ 9.797958971

Explanation:

sqrt (96)

96 = 16*6

16 is a perfect square so this can be simplified

sqrt(ab) = sqrt(a) sqrt(b)

sqrt(96) = sqrt(16) sqrt(6)

=4sqrt(6)

It can be approximated by 9.797958971
