For this case we have that, by definition, the distributive property establishes that:

a (b + c) = ab + ac

Then, when applying distributive property to the next product
(w + 1) (w + 2) we have:

(w + 1) (w + 2) =\\w ^ 2 + 2w + w + (2) (1) =\\w ^ 2 + 3w + 2

So we have to:

(w + 1) (w + 2) = w ^ 2 + 3w + 2

Answer:

w ^ 2 + 3w + 2

Option B
