slope of dilated line=3

and y-intercept of line= -20.

Explanation:

Here the center of dilation is the origin.

(1) " If that line passes through the point which is the center of the dilation, nothing will change ".

(2) but if it does not "A dilation takes a line NOT passing through the center of the dilation to a parallel line" .

Here our line does not passes through the center of dilation i.e. origin.

Hence we will use (2) condition.

we have the given line as:

y=3x-5.

the line parallel to this line will have the same slope. also the line is dilated by a scale factor of 4.

Hence the dilated line is: y=3x-20

Hence the slope of dilated line=3 ( since on comparing the line with slope-intercept form y=mx+c; where m is slope of the line and c is the y-intercept of the line)

The y-intercept of the dilated line is -20.
