When determining the jurisdiction in a case the following are considered?
(original jurisdiction)
(parties involved)
(cost of damage)
(subject matter)
When determining the jurisdiction of a case, the first thing taken into consideration is where the case will be heard.
This involves subject matter (bankruptcy in bankruptcy court) and personal/original jurisdiction (where the party/parties reside).
The next consideration are the parties involved and the amount of damages done (small damages = small claims court).
