There are two fundamental principles shared by the defenders of the consumer movement:
1- That we are all consumers, everyday and everywhere
2- That we are not always represented or we are taken into account
3- Ensure that they are treated in a safe, fair and honest way
They believe that many consumers, around the world, still lack basic protections. As the world has become globalized and digitized, changes in the global marketplace are leaving behind consumer protection. Consumers are generally left at a disadvantage confronting companies and governments, exposing themselves to unsafe, unfair or unethical practices.
