Explanation:

Basically you have to find a common denominator first, so i just multiplied the 6 and 8 to get 48 as the common denominator. Next you have to make equivalent fractions so for 5/6 you multiply the denominator by 8 to get 48 so multiply the numerator by 8 to get 40/48. For 6/8 since you multiplied 8 by 6 to get the common denominator you would multiply 6 by 6 to get 36/48.

5/6 =40/48 6/8 =36/48

40/48 - 36/48 = 4/48

4/48 = 1/12
