To make dinner Monica needs 2 3/4 cup of water for the pasta and 3 1/8 cup for the rice. She also needs 6 1/24 cup of flour for the dessert. How much more flour does Monica need than water to make her dinner and dessert?

Answer:

(1)/(6)

Explanation:

First, we have to find how much water Monica needs in total:

2(3)/(4) + 3(1)/(8) = 5(7)/(8)

We have given that she needs
6(1)/(24) amount of floor for the dessert and we have to find the difference between the amount of water and floor.

6(1)/(24) -  5(7)/(8) = 1(1 - 21)/(24) = (25 - 21)/(24) = (4)/(24) = (1)/(6)
