Since We are given Image of letter E with height of 10 and width of 5 and Inside space of height of 3 and width of 4

We are supposed to find the area of the letter E

First calculate the area of rectangle ABKL = length *width = 10*5= 50 square inches

Now to get the area of given figure :

Subtract the area of rectangle CDFE and HGJI from the rectangle ABKL

Area of CDFE = Area of HGJI (the length and width of the rectangles is same )

Thus Area of CDEF =Area of HGJI = length *width =4*3=12 square inches

Now subtract the area of both rectangles from the area of rectangle ABKL

⇒50-(12+12)

= 50-24

=26 square inches

Hence the area of given figure LETTER E = 26 square inches .
