The Suez Canal is extremely important for the maritime travel and trade between the different regions in the world and that is because it is shortening the route by a lot, and the waters are also safer for travel.

Also, a problem is the weather too, as in this part the waves are big and the winds and storms very dangerous and unpredictable.
