A rectangular field is 120 yards long and 53 yards wide. A tent that is 20 yards long and 18 yards wide covers part of the field. How many square yards of the field are not covered by the tent.

Answer:I think 6,000


Explanation:

So 120 times 53= 6,360

And then you do 20 times 18=360

So 6,360-360= 6,000

you first need to find the area of the two shapes. 120×53=6,360. the tent is 20×18=360. now all you have to do is subtract. 6360-360=6,000.

6,000 yards of the field are not covered by the tent.
