Answer:

5 people ordered Thai special and

3 people ordered Swaziland special

Explanation:

Let x=number of people ordered Thai special

and y=number of people ordered Swaziland special

Now, According to the Question

There are total 8 people in the group

so our first equation goes this way,

x+y=8-----(1)

Now x number of people ordered thai special for $14.25 so cost will be 14.25x

and y number of people ordered swaziland special for $13.95 so cost will be 13.95y

and the total bill was $113.10

so the second equation wiil be

14.25x +13.95y=113.10 ---------(2)

Now on solving the equation (1) and (2) we will get

14.25x + 13.95y = 113.1 \\14.25x + 13.95(8 - x) = 113.1,(since x+y=8 so y=8-x)\\14.25x + 111.6 - 13.95x = 113.1\\.3x = 1.5\\ x = 5\\and,y=8-5\\ y = 3
