From the number line we have x < -1.

Answer: D) 2 - 24x > 18 - 8x

Because:

2 - 24x > 18 - 8x subtract 2 from both sides

-24x > 16 - 8x add 8x to both sides

-16x > 16 change the signs

16x < -16 divide both sides by 16

x < -1
