Competition of different companies gives consumers a wider variety of products to choose from when buying. For example, if a rival company of a lawnmower company joins in, they would be contesting for consumers who are trying to buy a new lawnmower. This may lead to the companies trying to compete by offering different services, warranty, lower prices, etc.
