A Bimanual Exam is a thorough checkup of a female's cervix, ovary and uterus. This exam is performed to discover the abnormalities such as malignancies, cysts and, fibroid inside the vagina.

It is done by putting two fingers into the vagina and then gently pressing the abdomen by the other hand.

A Recto-vaginal Exam is also performed to find the abnormalities in the pelvic area of a female.

But it is done by putting one finger into the vagina and the middle finger into the rectum to locate the cervix.
