Use PEMDAS

(5-7 (8+4) × 2)

Parenthesis comes first so solve (8+4)= 12

(5-7(12)× 2)

7(12)=84 there's no exponents so the next thing is multiplication and you solve left to right

(5-84×2)

84×2=168 continue to solve multiplication

(5-168) solve

-163
