Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

Choice A is not on the line given by f(x)

Discussion:

Let f(x) = y = (5/2)x + 6

Point A: (2,7)

Is 7 = (5/2)(2) + 6 ?

7 = 5 + 6 ? No, so A is not on the line

Point B: (4,16)

Is 16 = (5/2)(4) + 6 ?

16 = 10 + 6 ? Yes, so B is on the line

Point C: (-2,1)

Is 1 = (5/2)(-2) + 6 ?

1 = -5 + 6 ? Yes, so C is on the line

Thank you,

MrB
