Answer:

Linear equation of train is:

x =62.5t

Explanation:

Given a train A.

Train A can travel 500 miles in 8 hours.

so in one hour this train a can travel 500/8 miles

i.e train A travel distance in one hour = 500/8 = 62.5 miles

That meas speed of train= 62.5 miles/hour

Since the travelling rate of train is constant.

So we can write a linear equation that represents the situation.

Let the distance covered by train in t hours be x miles.

or Distance covered by train = Speed of train * time

or x = 62.5 * t , where t is the time in hours.

or x =62.5t
