Answer:

Hi cookie

Step-by-step explanation:

1. What does the mysterious man in the crowd desperately want to know about this woman?

The parade of adultery is taking place in the village when… Hester Prynne's husband, who was missing for a long time, arrives in disguise! Once back in jail, he visits her and asks her to shut her mouth so that he can realize the evil plan to discover his lover and take revenge on him. For some reason, she accepts.

He is the mysterious man.

2. Who tries to talk Hester into telling the father's name?

Hester's husband wants to find out who the baby's father is, since he ordered Hester not to say anything.

3. What is Hester's response to those who want her to confess the father's name?

Despite the embarrassment, Hester protects Pearl's father by refusing to give his name so they don't punish him.

4. What conclusions can you draw so far about Hester, the misshapen man, and Reverend Dimmesdale?

Hester never revealed Pearl's father's name, because she loved that man and didn't want to be punished.

Heter's husband returns after a few years and discovers that hester has a baby. He is disguised as a deformed man, and asks hester not to say anything about the baby's father, because he will discover who he is and make him pay. It was very manipulative.

Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale is probably the father of Hester's baby.

The pastor is very afraid to confess his sin in public.

In the long run, Dimmesdale leans back and confesses his sin to citizens in the gallows where Hester was publicly humiliated seven years ago.

His last act is to open his shirt to show the mark on his chest, just before he dies.

About a year later, Chillingworth dies and leaves all of her money and property to Pearl, which means that, finally, she and her mother can leave that horrible community and return to England to build a new life.

Years later, Hester, in effect, returns to the colony and returns to the scarlet letter of his own accord. When she dies, she is buried near the shepherd and they share a tombstone bearing the letter "A".

1.- He apparently wants to know the identity of the woman and what he did.

2.- Her husband who reappears and talks Hester into telling the father's child's name.

3.- She refuses to confess the father's name and she doesn't want to tell that she is married to Roger Chillingworth.

4. That it was hard for women to live in a biased environment. Why weren't the men also obliged to wear a prominent scarlet letter A showing that they also committed adultery?. It also shows that Hester was defiant and brave.
