What is the main reason water from the ocean turns to what’re vapor, and than evaporates into the air?

As it moves through the water cycle, water often changes from a liquid, to a solid (ice), to a gas (water vapor). Water that is at the surface of the ocean, rivers, and lakes can become water vapor in the air of our atmosphere with a little added energy from the Sun through a process called evaporation.

Like evaporation, condensation occurs as part of the water cycle. Water molecules that have traveled upward through evaporation eventually meet the cooler air at higher levels of the atmosphere. Water vapor in the warm, moist air condenses, forming larger droplets of water that will eventually be visible as clouds.
