Which major battle of the Revolutionary War is described below?

This was the only major battle fought in New England during the War. Twelve hundred Patriots surrounded Boston, hoping to force the British to leave the city. When they succeeded, it became apparent that the untrained Patriot soldiers could possibly win the War.

Bennington
Bunker Hill
Concord
Saratoga

Answer: Bunker Hill

Explanation: One of the main battles during the Revolutionary War was Battle of Bunker Hill. It took place on 17 June 1775 at an early stage of the war, and it was a siege of Boston by patriot colonists. Colonists came to the news that the British plan to build fortifications on the surrounding hills around Boston, and thus have control of the Boston Port as an important strategic point. To prevent this, the colonists were organized with their 1200 members of the militia and carried out the siege of Boston. During the attack on Boston, the Bricks suffered great losses, while the gigs of the colonists were insignificant. This greatly discouraged the British, and a great incentive for the colonists who found that even though they were insufficiently experienced and trained in the struggle, they succeeded in successfully opposing the regular British army.
