Answer:

x = 7

y = 7/2

Explanation:

The ratios must be equal

2:y:x = 8:14:28

How do we get from 2 to 8

We multiply by 4

So we need to multiply the first set of ratio's by 4

2*4:y*4:x*4 = 8:14:28

Ratio 1

2*4 = 8

Ratio 2

4y = 14

Divide by 4

y = 14/4

y = 7/2

Ratio 3

4x = 28

Divide by 4

x = 7
