Anthony's school plans to eliminate art, music, and drama classes in order to add extra science and math electives. Many students, like Anthony, look forward to these arts electives as a break from their core academic courses. Others have been working on auditions for college applications. They need these classes to adequately prepare for college.

Anthony feels strongly about challenging the school's decision. Which action would have the greatest impact?

A.) Bring his friends, their parents, and teachers to the next school board meeting where they can show samples of their work and tell the board how the arts classes have benefited them.
B.) Write a column for the school newspaper about how the school already offers enough math and science courses and how students need a creative option in their electives.

Go with option A. It's a good idea. If you go with the column idea, the school is just going to counter by saying that those already existing science and math classes don't do enough, or something along those lines.
But if you can show the school board how many people feel strongly about this issue, you might be able to get them to back down. There is strength in numbers.
