Explination: ok so to do this you will need to multiply so

-2.5 • 5

whats 2.5 • 5 it equals 12.5

and because the original number "-2.5" has a negative symbol you just go ahead and put that in there with it.

so your answer is -12.5

Answer:

Today's low temperature = -12.5

Explanation:

Given:

Yesterday low temperature = -2.5

To Find :

Today's low temperature = ?

Solution:

Let x be today's low temperature

Now according to the given condition

Today's low temperature is i.e. x is 5 times as low as yesterdays

so from this we conduct that

x = 5 time yesterday low temperature

so

x = 5 * Yesterday low temperature

as we are given that yesterday low temperature = -2.5

so

x = 5 * (-2.5)

Multiplying it gives us

x = -12.5

So

Today's low temperature = -12.5
