Cross multiply to get
7(x+8)=12(x+1)

7x+56=12x+12

Therefore your answer is B

Hope this helped :)

Answer:

B. 12x + 12 = 7x + 56

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : \ \sf (12)/( x +8) = (7)/(x + 1)

cross multiply formula: if
\sf (a)/(b) = (c)/(d) then
\sf ad = cb

\sf 12(x +1) = 7(x + 8)

distribute inside parenthesis

\sf 12x + 12= 7x + 56

collect like terms

\sf 12x -7x = 56 - 12

simplify the following

\sf 5x = 44

dividing both sides by 5

\sf x = 8.8
