The government and the economy under Lenin mainly differ from pure communism because the Communist Party had all the power and controlled the entire government, not the people. Moreover, Lenin allowed some capitalist ventures which helped their economy to recover.

In addition, Lenin not only led the communist revolution and ruled Russia but also was the leader of the Bolsheviks.
