1. Generally, the three stages of GDL are: Supervised learning period. A young driver, after passing a qualifying test, is granted a learner's permit. The new driver is allowed to drive only with a supervising adult in the car for a given period of time or minimum number of hours before earning an intermediate license.

2. a person is a Novice Driver until they have held a driver's licence for at least two (2) years or periods adding up to two (2) years.

3. The three licence stages of GDL are: Learner (minimum nine months), Intermediate (minimum 15 months), and Full (for the first three years).

4. Be at least 21 years old.

Have a full driving licence (for the type of vehicle being used - manual or automatic)

Have held that valid licence for a minimum of three years.

5. Unless you are enrolled in a high school driver education course, you must be at least 16 years of age. If you held an Intermediate Stage licence for less than 15 months in your previous home jurisdiction when transferring to a Manitoba licence, you will be issued an Intermediate Stage licence.

6. One of the ways we encourage safe driving is through the Driver Safety Rating (DSR) system, which recognizes safe driving behaviour in a fair and simple way. Your position on the DSR scale, which has 36 levels, depends on your driving record. ... The highest-risk drivers pay up to $2,500 for their driver's licence premium.

7. Each factor is weighed differently. Location. Insurers typically start by asking for your ZIP code because where you live is the start of most base rates. Age. "The younger the driver the higher the rates" could be the motto of auto insurance. Gender. Marital status. Driving experience. Driving record.
