Explain the difference between a cation and an anion and give an example of each

Cations are positively charged and have more protons than electrons.

Anion is negatively charged and have more electrons that protons.

Cations examples: Hydronium is H3O+, Silver is Ag+

Anion examples: Sulfate anion is SO42-
