Area of Canvas Cloth required (A) = Curved/Lateral Surface Area of the Cone =
\pi \: × \: rl
A = πrl
r = 12 m
h = 3.5 m

l \: = \: \sqrt{ {r}^(2) \: + \: {h}^(2) }

l \: = \: \sqrt{ {(12)}^(2) \: + \: {(3.5)}^(2) }

l \: = \: √(144 \: + \: 12.25) \: = \: √(156.25) \: = \: 12.5
l = 12.5 m
A = π × 12 m × 12.5 m
A ≈ 471.2389 m².
Hence, 471.2389 m² of Canvas is required to cover the heap.
