Median - The middle number. To start, order your numbers from least to greatest.

1, 3, 5, 5, 8, 8, 10, 14

You have an even set of numbers (8 in total), which means there won't be one number left in the middle. In this situation, there are two: 5 and 8. So you just need to add them together and divide by 2

8 + 5 = 13

13/ 2 = 6.5
