Think about the setting and plot of "Bernice Bobs Her Hair." What role did the setting play in developing the plot? Write a paragraph of about 100 words explaining how the setting of one scene helped show a potential problem in the story.

The setting is an important role in the plot. It can change the story with just some little adjustments. The scene where Bernice is over hearing Marjorie and her aunt talking played an important role. In the first place it says that her slippers were quiet on the floor so that makes it so they couldn't hear her approaching. Then she heard Marjorie talking and she did not walk away or stop listening. You can tell that haring them talk hurt her feelings. As you can see, the setting is an important part of the plot.

The setting and plot play the most important role in the story. High school is perfect for the development of a story that is based on the issue of being popular or not existing at all. The plot is very much linked to current aspects in the life of teenagers or very young people about to go to college. Reaching the goal of becoming the center of attention at those ages , as shown in the story, is for some people, a dream come true. Family , as in the case of these cousins, proves to be the best setting for feelings of rivalry.Solidarity might appear but competition arises and the help turns to revenge, which puts everyone in their place. All in all, problems come to light when somebody tries to became a person so different from their true selves.
