Answer:

remainder = - 2

Explanation:

using the divisor as a factor in the numerator

Consider the numerator

4x²(x - 3) + 12x² - 20x - 50

= 4x²(x - 3) + 12x(x - 3) + 36x - 20x - 50

= 4x²(x - 3) +12x(x - 3) + 16(x - 3) + 48 - 50

= 4x²(x - 3) + 12x(x - 3) + 16(x - 3) - 2

quotient = 4x² + 12x + 16 , remainder = - 2

(4x^3-20x-50)/(x-3) = 4x² + 12x + 16 -
(2)/(x-3)
