Tourists and travelers have different goals; A tourist only goes to the most popular and well known places. They stick to speaking English and are very easy to spot among locals. A traveler, however, actually wants to immerse themselves in a country's culture. They go to less known areas, interact with locals, and try to speak the language. Their goal is to learn and experience something new.
