How do poets and writers typically describe death

they will usually use metaphors or similes to describe their feelings. for example edgar allen pie made stories that were fake but described death that probably happened to him
ex-“the waves crashed like it hurt the soul” this could describe death but making the reader understand the way waves hit somebody
hope this helps!

In most cases, the way that they will describe it is by using imagery to indirectly descrbe it. However, sometimes the author/poet may choose to outright speak it out, though it detracts from the overall tone of the passage.
