As the scale in Raheem's map shows that every 1 inch on the maps is equal to 300 miles, and the distance between Atlanta and Nashville in the map is of 5/6 inches, in order to know the distance between both cities we have to do the following crossed multiplication:

1 inch = 300 miles

5/6 inch = X miles

300 x 5/6 = X miles

300 x 0.83 = X miles

250 = X miles
