At my new job I have two options for a salary. I can either be paid $400 a week or $300 a week plus a 15% commission on all sales. If last year I sold $200,000 worth of items, which option should I pick for this year?

Answer:

You should pick the $300 weekly with 15% commision offer.

Explanation:

I think that mathematically speaking, you have a chance of making more money by choosing this option based on your sales from last year.

Good Luck! :)

Answer:

Second option should be chosen.

Explanation:

For the first I will be paid $400 x 52 = 20800

[ There are 52 weeks in a year ]

and for the second $300 and 15 % of 200,000 =$300x52 +0.15x200,000

= $15600+$30000

= $45600

Since second one will be paid more than that of first one.
