Find the slope of the line passing through the pairs of points (2,1) (4,5)

The formula for the slope of a line is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=m. In this question, x1=2, x2=4, y1=1, and y2=5. Plug in and solve:

(5-1)/(4-2)=m

4/2=m

2=m
